Lovely Carriage House style cottage just across the patio from our home in Leesburg boasts spacious one level accommodations with open floor plan, bright kitchen in a beautiful country setting. Situated in the scenic and convenient Mount Gilead Village, guests are ideally located within 2 miles of Stone Tower, Willowcroft, and Zephaniah wineries. We are within 5 miles to Leesburg, a short 20 minutes drive to Middleburg, and just under an hour to Washington, DC.
Experience the relaxed, natural atmosphere of a quiet weekend getaway as the charming, winding country gravel road leads you to our driveway. Turn in and follow along the lane lined with blackboard fencing, creating scenic and safe pasture for our horses.
Enjoy a glass of wine or lemonade on the patio or out by the pool, as you transition down from the workweek pace and prepare for a weekend of fresh air, peace, and quiet, where city traffic and congestion is left far behind.
Our cottage, initially designed and created by Jim's Mom, as "Mema's Cottage", has served us well and is now ready to be repurposed. The cottage is fully designed to accommodate those requiring wheelchair accessibility. Lots of bright windows and skylights create an open, airy, and comfortable environment.
Whether you have a weekend full of preplanned activities or choose to allow your plans to come together once you arrive, we are happy to assist with planning, accommodate with meals, and even help with preparation for small gatherings on the patio. We may also simply provide concierge service, disappearing to the main house and leaving you to enjoy your stay. Personalized Weekend Packages available upon request.

Summary: Very nice and cozy property only sleeps three. Exactly as advertised and the owners are very nice and accommodating. We stay from Mon-Fri night as we were in the area for a wedding at Stone Tower Winery. If you are there for a similar function or just to visit D.C. so it is a ways away, this place is perfect. Thank you to our host for such a wonderful week.

Summary: I came with my husband and our dog. We spent nearly 2 weeks here. It was July, so we watched the weather reports to decide on activities. Much of our time was spent in or near the pool. It was such a relaxing setting. I read and my husband played in the pool, throwing the ball for one of the host's dogs. It was perfect! We several times went to Ashburn to hop on the rail to DC. It was great! No need to fight traffic or hunt for parking. We highly recommend this location. Julie was always willing to help us in any way. It couldn't have been any better.

Summary: Definitely 'charming'! The interior was well equipped and decorated nicely. Though we only stayed one night, this would be a perfect location for a long weekend in wine country. Many wineries within 1/2 hour of cottage. One, in particular, was literally 5 minutes down the road and awesome! Host and hostess were very friendly and gracious. Whatever you might need they could surely acommodate. We will remember this place and plan on a weekend in the future! So many wineries, so little time!!

Summary: We loved our stay here. The space is roomy and well furnished, with an ADA accessible bathroom and a terrific (firm) mattress. This was the perfect quiet retreat for us and our 8 month old baby over a wedding weekend. The hosts are right next door and incredibly responsive to any needs. Seriously, the nicest people. 20/10, would stay again.
